Work With Me

1099 contractor relationships for independent developers

I'm getting more client inquiries than I can handle alone. Looking for senior developers who want independence, interesting technical work, and clients who care about solving problems—not padding billable hours.

The situation

Client demand is outpacing my available hours. I'm turning away organizations that need help with contact center integrations, service desk automation, and AWS-based solutions.

I need experienced developers who can take on real client work—not junior folks who need training or hand-holding.

This isn't a pipeline of guaranteed work. It's sporadic, project-based, and depends entirely on what clients need when they need it.

The work

What you'd actually work on

Real projects in the contact center and service management ecosystem:

Amazon Connect

Contact flows, Lambda integrations, CCP customizations, CTR processing

Salesforce Service Cloud Voice

SCV implementations, Connect integration, telephony configuration

NICE CXone / InContact

Studio scripts, API integrations, CRM connectors

Salesforce ecosystem

Apex, LWC, integrations, Service Cloud configuration

ServiceDesk / ITSM platforms

Automation, integrations, workflow customization

AWS development

Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB

Tech stack: Python, Node.js, APIs, AI/ML integration when it makes sense for the problem

Logistics

How it works

1099 contractor relationship

You work for yourself. I connect you with client projects when they align with your skills.

Project-based or hourly

Depends on the client engagement. Some are fixed-scope deliverables, others are ongoing support.

No guarantees on volume

I can't promise X hours per week or Y projects per month. Work comes in waves based on client demand.

You bring your own setup

Your tools, your licenses, your development environment. Client work may require specific access/accounts.

Requirements

Who I'm looking for

Experience level

Senior/expert (7+ years). You can work independently, make technical decisions, and talk directly to clients without supervision.

Technical depth

Strong development skills in AWS, Python, Node.js, and APIs. Contact center platform experience (Connect, NICE, SCV) is a major plus but not required if you learn fast.

Mindset

Burning desire to work for yourself. Frustration with the FTE configuration. Comfortable with uncertainty and variable income.

Client interaction

You can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You ship solutions, not excuses.

How to reach out

Email me at [email protected] with:

  • Brief summary of your background and technical skills
  • What type of work you're looking for (project-based, ongoing, specific technologies)
  • Why you want to work for yourself instead of staying FTE
  • Links to GitHub, portfolio, or examples of your work (if available)

I'll respond if there's potential alignment. If I don't reply, it means I don't have a fit right now—nothing personal.
